Today Rockstar announced the newest update to Grand Theft Auto Online is now available to download. The update includes new jobs, game bug fixes and, you guessed it, hipster themed continent – such as hairstyles, tattoos, and hipster clothing.
Included in the update is also seven new vehicles and brings back two weapons from past GTA games: the Calvary Dagger and the vintage pistol.
They have also added several hipster themed races including: “Hip to be Cool” “Before it was Cool” and “Trend Setting”
Rockstar will be holding “I’m Not a Hipster” weekend event June 20-22 which will include special bonuses and contests. Check out the full details on Rockstar’s website.
UPDATE
According to Rockstar heists are still going to play a role in online play. Thus far, the focal point of the single player campaign, has been completely absent from online gameplay. Originally announced for a spring release, had this to say on the absence of online heists, “We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated. We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can,” said Rockstar today. “Stay tuned for more information on that as well as lots of other ongoing content updates, enhancements and additions to the world of that are on the way.
