And it looks to be totally badass!
Take a look below!
The trailer zips by some key footage rather quickly. Here are some images to get a better look:
The Attack on Titan film has been in production for a little over 4 years now, so it’s good that we are making some progress on that front. Though it’s not common for an anime series to translate well to the big-screen, what little we see in this teaser does come across promising. The visual effects are enough to bat a few eyelashes at, showing off their reasonably sizable budget with the likes of the Titans we catch for a second or two.
Shinji Higuchi (Lorelei: The Witch of the Pacific Ocean, The Floating Castle) will be directing the film(s), with two confirmed for release this year in Japan come summer. Hajime Isayama, the creator of Attack on Titan will be heavily supervising the film, which will closely follow the manga though shall add new characters, enemies, and twists not seen before. Fanboys be weary.
Haruma Miura is set to star in both films with Hiroki Hasegawa, Kiko Mizuhara, Kanata Hongou, Takahiro Miura, Nanami Sakuraba, Satoru Matsuo, Shū Watanabe, Jun Kunimura, Satomi Ishihara, Taki Pierre, Ayame Misaki, and Rina Takeda rounding out the cast. All of which I have no idea who any of them are. But hey, I am optimistic!
