Welcome to the Star Wars family, Asty and Sarco Plank!
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]wo new action figures are to be released on Force Friday. Force Friday is an unveiling of merchandise feeding into the hype of the long awaited Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
One of the figures is a Resistance X-Wing Pilot, Asty. Other than his name, not much is known about his character, or what sets him apart as a Resistance pilot.
The other figure is someone we have seen before in Vanity Fair’s spread of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but never had a name for his face, or face mask rather.
Sarco Plank is his name, and scavenging on the planet Jakko is his game. The background on the packaging is similar to the packaging for Jakko specific figures, such as Rey and Finn. He can be seen in the background of a photo of J.J. Abrams directing a scene with Rey on her speeder. Sarco Plank can be seen in this close-up version of the photo from Vanity Fair.
As to whether or not these characters are heavily involved in the plot of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we will not know until the movie is released.
