Disney and Lucasfilm have released the first official teaser trailer for the highly anticipated series, Ahsoka. The series, which stars Rosario Dawson as the title character, will launch this summer on streaming devices everywhere.
Take a look for yourself at the teaser.
From writer Dave Filoni, Rosario Dawson returns to the titular role that first debuted in The Mandalorian, in a story that takes place after Return of the Jedi but roughly along the same timeline as The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett. We aren’t sure of the specifics on the time period exactly, however.
The story details are still being kept under wraps, somewhat, but the teaser confirms that Thrawn will be involved in some way, as he is heir to the Empire or something. Of course, the sequel trilogy sort of kills all that idea off so… hopefully that isn’t a spoiler for anyone.
Ahsoka is set to release this August accompanied by an all-star cast that includes Rosario Dawson, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Eman Esfandi, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ray Stevenson, David Tennant, with Hayden Christensen returning as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in some capacity (either as a force ghost and or flashbacks).
