Over the last month or so, a massive dump of leaks have been flooding forums and social media with details of the upcoming Dragon Ball x Fortnite collaboration. We have a pretty decent idea of what some of what that will look like based on some of the leaked images and naming conventions for new items but not until today as the official Fortnite social media acknowledged it in any way.
Their first tweet about the collaboration, which you can see below, simply states “Speak. Name your wish…8.16.2022” with a glowing image of the legendary wish dragon, Shenron. Apparently, the dragon has been summoned after the seven mystical balls were collected and someone… or something… is attempting to make a wish.

We do not know what skins are coming to the game just yet but leaks suggest it is Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, and one other in the form of a female character. We also heard chatter that more skins may become available at a later date.

As the tweet confirmed above, the collaboration kicks off on August 16th, just a few days ahead of the highly-anticipated North American release of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, a film we were privileged to have gotten to see early at a special screening on Wednesday evening.
