Crackle has been kind enough to give us all a first look at Dead Rising: Watchtower, a made for streaming adaptation of the zombie video game franchise.
[dropcap=”small”]F[/dropcap]or those unfamiliar with the source material, Dead Rising is set in a world where zombies have taken over and humans need to fight to survive. The gameplay generally involves overly gruesome zombie killing with a “use anything as a weapon” approach. Imagine The Walking Dead with way more zombie interactions. It’s actually somewhat shocking that a film adaptation hadn’t already been made.
In this snippet, we get to see a few of the main characters during that initial moment when shit goes from bad to worse. One by one dying patients start coughing up blood and waking up in a zombified state. It’s just a taste of what we can expect from the full 90-minute feature, but it’s surely enough to pique our interest. Check out the clip below.
