Get ready for a Hulk versus Thor showdown.
[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]ith Captain America: Civil War finishing up its final filming segments, many Marvel fans are turning their attention towards what is next on Marvel’s list of movies that will be released in its Phase 3 plan. We know that Doctor Strange is on its way and so is a completely revamped and redone Spider-Man, but we’re not quite sure what the third Thor movie will entail. Thankfully Mark Ruffalo, who plays the big green behemoth himself, has shed some light on the matter.
“I don’t really know that much about it, but I think it’s going to be a buddy picture with Thor and Bruce Banner,” said Mark Ruffalo in an interview with the New York Daily News. “I think they’ll probably fight. There’s no doubt, everyone wants us to fight at one point. I know that it’s about [the Norse legends of] Ragnarok, or the end times in the Marvel universe as it pertains to Thor, which seems to be quite the theme these days in movies.”
It seems that Marvel might just be giving the fans what they’ve been asking for, a showdown between the Hulk and Thor. We already had the Hulk fight it out with Iron Man and at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron that last thing we saw of the Hulk was him flying off into the distance in a S.H.I.E.L.D. jet. Could it be that the Hulk and Thor planned for him to leave all along? The Hulk is a cause of concern for the Avengers and it is possible that Thor believes he can take care of Bruce Banner/the Hulk on Asgard.
