Considering the fairly successful opening weekend for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot which brought in roughly $66m domestic and $94m worldwide, Paramount Pictures has already officially announced that a sequel is in the works.

The second dose of the Turtles has been tentatively set for release on June 3rd, 2016, putting it in direct competition with Seth Rogen and friend’s Sausage Party, a slightly different type of animated feature that follows a sausage on an r-rated journey through a grocery store as he tries to discover the meaning to his existence.

No plot details about TMNT2 have been revealed yet, and it is currently unclear if Jonathan Liebesman will return to direct. However, Michael Bay is definitely expected to produce again and the screenwriting duo that penned the first, Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec, will be returning as well. As for Megan Fox, other cast members, and the voices, it’s still too early to know.
