One of Netflix’s first original shows could be around for a long time!

[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]ith the second season of Stranger Things set to be released on October 27th, co-creators Ross and Matt Duffer are already working on a third season for the popular Netflix show. In an interview with Vulture, Ross said that the series will “be a four-season thing and then out.”

Throughout the interview, the Duffer brothers also revealed a few things about the second season, but the most important detail was that the second season would feel like a movie sequel, rather than a second season of the series. When asked about the third season, the Duffer brothers both said that the show will have to go a different direction, which could include taking the story outside of Hawkins, Indiana.

“We just have to keep adjusting the story,” Matt says. “Though I don’t know if we can justify something bad happening to them once a year.”

The first season ended with Will Byers finally returning to his family and friends, while Eleven sacrificed herself to save her new friends. While Will coming back was a relief, he also brought back a the ginormous monster that originally took Will.
