Warner Bros. Confirms ‘Sherlock Holmes 3’ to be Released Christmas 2020

No news on whether Robert Downey Jr. or Jude Law will return.

We can only be so hyped about the news regarding the confirmation of Sherlock Holmes 3. While it is exciting to know that what many would describe as the most famous detective to have ever existed (fictionally) will be returning to the big screen, one can’t help but feel disappointed at the news that neither Robert Downey Jr. or his counter part Jude Law have been announced that they’re returning to star in the film.

Still, there are several options that Warner Bros. can take in regards to the third film. They could make the third film be a prequel the first one and dive into Sherlock Holmes’ beginnings or they could do a film regarding the famous Hound of Baskervilles.

That said, producers Susan Downey, Joel Silver and Lionel Wigram are returning to take charge of the project and Narcoco-creater Chris Brancato has been set to write the script. With RDJ’s wife attached the project there is a chance that he could return, after all the actor did mention his interest in returning for a third installment in the series during his promotional tour for Avengers: Infinity War.
