A new Star Wars trailer is set to release later today as well as the start of ticket sales for the movie’s premiere.
After a surprise poster reveal this weekend, more news regarding the upcoming Star Wars film has fans going crazy with the new film’s release just under two months away. The poster was plastered all over Instagram and Twitter Sunday morning showing familiar faces of Princess Leia, Chewbacca, and of course Harrison Ford’s Han Solo. Along with the familiar faces, new faces of Rey, played by Daisey Ridley and Finn, played by John Boyega, were shown on the long-awaited poster as well. A face that’s missing? Luke Skywalker…fans are a bit baffled by this one.
The poster displays new robots, updated storm troopers, what looks to be a new death star, the Millennium Falcon, and much much more. However, the poster isn’t the only thing that is exciting Star Wars fans. Disney also announced that a new trailer is expected to release during Monday’s Monday Night Football matchup at 8:15 EST. The NFC East matchup between the Giants and Eagles wasn’t expecting too much publicity, but now with this shocking news, ESPN might get some record viewing numbers. Disney announced that the film’s newest trailer will be airing during halftime of tonight’s game and then after the airing of the trailer, tickets for the December film will officially go on sale. Make sure you tune in tonight so you don’t miss out.
Various theaters have announced special marathon viewings of the old trilogy that will also include the 7th Star Wars film starting the day of the premier. Some pre-screenings of the film have been rumored, including some special IMAX and 3-D pre-screenings in the works as well. Fans better be on top of their game for this one, because tickets are sure to go pretty quick. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to release December 18th, 2015 and is sure to set box office records.
