‘We all have a past, Watson.’
[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]ts been a big weekend of news for Sherlock fans everywhere with the brand new unveiling of the highly anticipated 90 minute special, which got a title and a release date at MCM London Comic Con.
The special episode is set to air in both the UK and the US on the same day for the very first time, and this special date we can all mark in our calendars is none other than January 1st, 2016 – what a great way to start off the new year!
The episode was revealed to be called The Abominable Bride, and we got a fantastic promotional trailer packed to the rafters with intrigue and mystery, in classic Sherlockian style.
And if it wasn’t enough that we get to see our favourite detective duo solve another case on the small screen at the same, we’ll also get to see it on the big screen as well. That’s right, the Sherlock special will be in threatres for a two day event in the UK and North America (January 5th and 6th), to celebrate the long awaited comeback of the series.
It looks like we’re in for a real treat in the new year!
Tickets are expected to go on sale 2 November in the UK, and 6th November in NA.
The MASTERPIECE Mystery! channel on PBS will air the episode on January 1st in the US, whilst it airs on the same date in the UK on BBC One.
