The Music of Kingdom Hearts is set to hit venues worldwide!

[dropcap size=small]K[/dropcap]ingdom Hearts has seen massive success since its debut on the PlayStation 2 back in 2001. The unlikely partnership of Squaresoft (now Square Enix) and Disney seemed bizarre at first. But the amalgamation of their respective franchises was very well executed; in part thanks to the musical styling of Yoko Shimomura, the series’ composer.

Her music for Kingdom Hearts will finally have its first set of dedicated live performances in Japan, followed by an orchestral world tour. Kingdom Hearts Concert -First Breath- will see its two performances in Tokyo on August 11th. The orchestra will re-locate to Nagoya on August 27th and will then finish off in Osaka on the 28th.

The Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World Tour- will hit the road the following year in celebration of the series’ 15th anniversary. The orchestra will play pieces from all the games in the series and will be visually supported by the projection game footage and graphics. The concert dates are as follows:

kh-0

Tokyo (Tokyo International Forum) March 10, 2017
Paris (Salle Pleyel) March 18-19
London (Central Hall Westminster) March 24-25
Singapore (Esplanade Concert Hall) May 6-7
Shanghai (Mercedes Benz Arena) May 28
Los Angeles (Dolby Theatre) June 10, 14
New York (United Palace Theatre) June 24

Tickets for the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World Tour- will be available for pre-order on April 30th. Prices are likely to vary by venue!
