Earlier today, the official @HogwartsLegacy Twitter account broke the news that the highly-anticipated open-world wizarding RPG (think Skyrim with Harry Potter stuff) has been pushed back to February 10, 2023.
Hogwarts Legacy will launch on February 10, 2023 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The Nintendo Switch launch date will be revealed soon. The team is excited for you to play, but we need a little more time to deliver the best possible game experience. pic.twitter.com/zh0EsOvDb7

The confirmation that the game has been delayed to work out a few more kinks should not come as a surprise to anyone. At this point, a post-COVID world is unlikely to shake all the obstacles and challenges for years to come and it would seem Avalanche Software (the dev team behind the game) wants to make sure that Hogwarts Legacy ships in the best possible state it could be in. No one wants to have another Cyberpunk 2077 fiasco on their hands.
The game, which takes place roughly 100 or so years before Harry Potter entered its halls, will feature a customized character of your very making that will enroll in Hogwarts and learn spells and wizardry of all kinds while stopping a dark presence at work in and around the school.
Hogwarts Legacy will be available on all major console platforms and PC at launch which is now in early spring of next year on February 10, 2023. And if you are like me, and are planning to get the PC version of the game, you can head over to the official Steam page and Wishlist it now.
