Vegas is booming, baby.
If you feel like you’ve seen/ done everything you can in the Commonwealth of Fallout 4 (we don’t believe you), than you might want to check out a crazy new multiplayer mode being worked on for Fallout: New Vegas.
New Vegas: Multiplayer, built by a small team of modders, aims to transform the 2010 spinoff title into a multiplayer environment.
Watch a demonstration of this below.
Explained in a comprehensive reddit post made by one of the modders, players will be able to enter each others game worlds, where they can fight or cooperatively play together. Thus, the outcome of a multiplayer “match,” can and will affect certain quests or tasks.
Other changes that the multiplayer mode will bring to the game are combat-based. Obviously, Fallout is traditionally a single player experience, so changes were made to streamline interaction with other players. Most notably, players will not be able to use the time-slowing V.A.T.S., and using the Pipboy will turn you invulnerable and invisible whilst in its menu.
New Vegas: Multiplayer is still in early testing, but progress on the mod appears to be going smoothly.
