Insomniac’s Spider-Man (PC) Gets an Insanely Awesome (and Nauseating) First-Person Mod

If you want to play in the first-person, you may want to keep a waste bin handy...

Spider-Man fans were ecstatic when the PlayStation exclusive was announced for PC and for many a good reason. Enhanced graphics, a bunch of new features, and of course, modding. And one such mod that caught our attention is an incredible first-person modification by modding expert Jedijosh920.

Each of the videos below features a specific aspect of the game while being played using the First Person mod, which is still being worked on by Jedijosh920 and is not currently available to download from what we can tell. From combat to web-swinging, Spider-Man in first-person is truly a sight to behold… albeit for a few minutes at a time before you start feeling nauseous.

Of the three videos we have here, the first two are a little disorienting (and nauseating) to watch, but the third one is a little easier to take in, thanks to the fixed camera Jedijosh920 implemented. Take a look for yourself and see what we mean:

If you were a fan of Mirror’s Edge, you might enjoy- all right, who are we kidding? This takes the First-Person experience to a whole other level. You would literally have to be a superhero in order to play from that perspective at that level of momentum and velocity. Still, while we love what Jedijosh920 has done here with this innovative mod, we may just have to stick to installing custom skins and graphic enhancements. Now if you will excuse us, we need to go lie down for a while…
