Groovy!
Good news for you Evil Dead fans out there. The upcoming Starz series Ash vs. Evil Dead has been renewed for a second season! Even though the first season has yet to air.
Starz managing director Carmi Zlotnik has confirmed that the highly anticipated continuation of Sam Raimi’s horror film series will continue after the initial 10-episode season.
“One season isn’t enough to satisfy the fans’ two decade-long appetite for more Ash,” Zlotnik explained. “The early fan and press support, along with the international broadcaster demand for more story have made it clear that the adventures of Ash Williams can’t end with Season 1.”

The series will once again see Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) battles the forces of evil, only this time with the help of his sidekicks Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo).
Although the show will not air until a couple more days, early reviews of the pilot episode “El Jefe” have been very positive, with the episode currently sitting at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
We love Ash, we love Sam Raimi, and we love Evil Dead. We can’t wait.
Ash vs. Evil Dead premieres October 31 on Starz.
