Spidey may meet his biggest fan, the “Merc with a Mouth” in a Deadpool sequel some day, if things go well for all parties.
While the rights to Spider-Man may still be contractually locked down under the Sony roof, a string of sub-par films featuring the wall-crawler have been instrumental in a joining of forces between Marvel and Sony studios. It can be debated that Peter Parker would have made his way to the MCU one way or another, but it can’t be ignored that the decision will likely prove to be the greatest move among comic book films to date.
Next month, we will meet Tom Holland in the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man (a role that has already seen two big-time actors come and pass at Sony) in Captain America: Civil War. This marks the first time that a major crossover between two joining studios has taken place. That said, Tom Holland’s performance as Peter/Spidey is already receiving rave reviews, to the point where director Tim Miller (Deadpool, and 2017’s Deadpool 2) and Producer Simon Kinberg are talking to Marvel Producer Kevin Feige about the possibility of seeing him pop in on ‘the merc with a mouth’ in the upcoming Deadpool sequel.
According to sources, these talks took place during Fox’s Blu Ray release event for Deadpool, which will be available on May 10.
“Simon and I have been trying to build bridges.”
-Tim Miller

Not sure if Deadpool is exactly worthy, but hey, who are we to judge?
.
Simon Kinberg and Tim Miller have been close to Feige, and are actively looking to see if its possible to bring the young Parker to an R-Rated Marvel film, though it isnt clear on just what type of role the web-slinger would have, if possible, in Deadpool 2 or another sequel that could follow.
“I would love to see it. Both of us are close with [Marvel’s] Kevin [Feige], we respect and love Kevin. If it were even remotely possible, we will find a way ’cause we’d would love to see it.” –Kinberg
If possible, we could be at a crossing of a dawn of a new era where heroes abound could meet, team-up, fight, or simply cameo for dramatic or humorous effect. In any case, Fox’s X-Men universe might have their hands full being on their own, with how long and well-established it has been. But keeping in mind that time travel, alternate realities, and universe are being bent, and altered around their own films. Not to mention that Cable’s involvement in Deadpool 2 could absolutely open the possibility of Spider-Man falling into the presence of Deadpool and company for a featured run of sorts. Tim Miller himself expressed his interest in the larger picture between rival comic book studios and how his fandom of crossovers knows no limits.
“My favorite comic books in the old days used to be like DC vs. Marvel, Teen Titans vs. the X-Men or Teen Titans vs. New Mutants. Justice League vs. the Avengers. This could be something like that.”

With nothing confirmed at this time, you will likely find benefit in keeping your hopes in check. However, similar words were said countless times in regard Spider-Man joining the MCU, and if that is to be used as an example, anything is possible with Marvel Studios as a potential partner.
Captain America: Civil War debuts on May 6, and stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Emily VanCamp, Tom Holland, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Daniel Brühl.
Deadpool 2 is set for a TBA release in 2017, with Tim Miller returning to direct and Ryan Reynolds returning as the “Merc with a Mouth”. He will be joined by Cable, who has not been cast at this time. No word from Marvel or Sony on whether or not Tom Holland is being considered or in any official talks show up in any Deadpool crossovers or if Ryan Reynolds could appear in the MCU.
