Earlier this week, the official Final Fantasy VII twitter revealed that players can download and “experience the beginning of the story,” through the Mako Reactor 1 mission. Although it should be noted that progress from the demo will not transfer over into the full game when it launches next month.

The game will be released in installments, or episodes, so do not expect the full game when it comes out in just around five weeks. We do not know when the second episodic installment will come or how often we can expect these installments, we just hope it’s not too long in between releases.
FFVII Remake launches exclusively to PS4 on April 10th, 2020. It will then come to additional platforms in 2021.
