Get out your diaries and pencil in your reunion with the Parr family!
[dropcap size=small]M[/dropcap]r. Incredible once said that ‘no matter how many times you save the world, it always manages to get back in jeopardy again’, and he’s not wrong. He’ll be back saving the day once again, and we finally know when to expect this momentous event.
Disney announced a whole bunch of release dates for upcoming projects, and among these titles was perhaps one of the most exciting animated films due to appear in future, The Incredibles 2.
IMDB released the list, and revealed that The Incredibles 2 is expected to release on 21 June, 2019. Even though 2019 seems too far away to get all that excited about right now, one plus is that it shows the film will definitely be going ahead, and that’s pretty darn great news.
Since 2004 when The Incredibles was released, fans have been crying out for more, and when it was announced that we would be getting just that, everyone was dotting the i’s on their red super-suits, and activating excitement mode.
The Incredibles 2 feels like it’s been a long time coming, with over a decade passing by without anymore antics from that superbly animated Parr family, and the other fantastic characters.
It would be remiss of me if I didn’t mention how exciting it will be if Frozone – voiced by Samuel L. Jackson – makes another appearance in the sequel. He is just the coolest; figuratively, and literally speaking.
Brad Bird, director and writer of The Incredibles, will be fronting the sequel project – we covered his thoughts on the upcoming sequel earlier this year.
Another notable release date is for Toy Story 4, which had a date alteration from the 16 June, 2017, to the 15 June, 2018.
