[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]t’s been a long time in the making, but the Assassnin’s Creed film is finally moving forward with production. The film was originally slated to be released in August of 2015 but production was delayed by Fox due to ‘issues’. Ubisoft and 20th Century Fox recently announced details regarding the film. Justin Kurzel will be directing the film and Oscar-nom Michael Fassbender will be playing the lead role. As far as other cast or even plot line, Ubisoft is remaining tight lipped.
Fassbender did speak out about the film earlier last year letting those in attendance know the film will be respectful of the game and, at the same time, ‘…bring new elements to it and perhaps our own vision of things that already exist in the game’. The movie is set to hit theaters December 21, 2016 but we all have Assassin’s Creed Victory to look forward to before then, which is set in London during the Victorian Era. We will keep you up to date on all developments in cast and plot for the film. But remember, ‘nothing is true, everything is permitted‘.
