According to The Hollywood Reporter, the WarnerMedia-backed streaming giant is dead set on bringing the wonderful wizarding world to their streaming platform. The company has approached several writers to explore ideas on how to do such a thing and several of them with potential have begun to formulate.

As of right now, there are no writers to actors and actresses attached to this project. HBO Max and Warner Bros. have reaffirmed nothing is set in stone yet by issuing a statement saying, “There are no Harry Potter series in development at the studio or on the streaming platform.
The Harry Potter is a massive franchise totaling over $7 billion worldwide and as the streaming wars begin to heat up between services like STARZ, HBO Max, Peacock, Netflix, Hulu/Disney+ and others WarnerMedia is hellbent on putting themselves ahead of everyone. A Harry Potter series would surely give them a leg up on everyone else.
