The role of Abby, a formidable and skilled soldier with a complex worldview, has been secured by the talented Kaitlyn Dever. Dever, perhaps best known for her roles in “No One Will Save You” and “Last Man Standing” is set to take on the crucial character in the upcoming PlayStation game-inspired postapocalyptic drama series in the show’s next season.

Abby’s character arc revolves around her pursuit of vengeance for the ones she held dear, adding an intriguing layer to the narrative. We won’t say more than that as there are heavy spoilers with any further elaboration, so you will just have to wait and see for yourself (or look it up).

Interestingly, the actor has somewhat of a history with the show as Fans of the game had passionately campaigned for the star to land the lead role of Ellie, a character ultimately portrayed by Bella Ramsey. Reports suggest that the 27-year-old artist had even auditioned for the coveted role, but producers opted for a younger actor in Ramsey, who is 20 years old.

The news of this casting choice has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, promising a dynamic and compelling performance in the eagerly anticipated postapocalyptic series. And while many views on the casting may be divided online, we think this choice is pretty solid and can’t wait to see Dever bring the role to life in a fresh new way.
