TMS Entertainment has officially revealed the digital release of Case Closed: The Scarlet Bullet in both English Dub and English Sub versions. This marks the 24th installment in the highly cherished Detective Conan series. The announcement follows the successful English Dub World Premiere and English Sub North America Premiere held at the Anime NYC convention in New York City over the weekend.

The premiere at Anime NYC signals a promotional resurgence by TMS Entertainment for this beloved franchise. Over the weekend of November 18th and 19th, hundreds of fans eagerly welcomed Detective Conan back to the big screen, enjoying the film’s intriguing storyline featuring the enigmatic Akai family and captivating physics-defying action scenes.

Having achieved global box office success with a gross of $100 million, Case Closed: The Scarlet Bullet is now available for digital rental and purchase exclusively on iTunes, Prime Video, and Google Play.

The storyline revolves around the prestigious international sporting event, World Sports Games (WSG), set to take place in Tokyo every four years. The media spotlight is on the Hyper Linear train, capable of reaching speeds of 1,000 km/h, and its launch on the opening day of WSG.

However, a series of incidents unfold, involving the kidnapping and subsequent release of top executives from WSG’s sponsor companies. The perpetrators remain unidentified, but similar incidents occurred during the WSG inauguration in the U.S. 15 years prior.

Upon discovering that Alan McKenzie, the former chief of the FBI and current head of the WSG committee, is scheduled to be on the first run of the bullet train, Conan and Shuichi Akai take action. Simultaneously, Akai’s sister, Masumi Sera, and mother, Mary, are also pursuing the same case and have boarded the train. Adding to the intrigue, Akai’s younger brother and professional Shogi player, Shukichi Haneda, happens to be in Nagoya, where the train is set to begin its run.

As part of its ongoing promotional efforts, TMS Entertainment is set to host a screening of Case Closed: The Blue Sapphire, the 23rd installment in the Case Closed franchise, during this year’s Anime Frontier. The event is scheduled for December 9 at 6:45 PM and will be Detective Conan’s inaugural presence at the Leftfield Media-operated convention in Fort Worth. Following the screening, attendees can engage in a trivia contest with the chance to win exciting prizes.
