Looks like the wildly popular kiddy horror game Five Nights at Freddy’s is being made into a movie, and the executives at Warner Bros. are making it happen.
[dropcap size=small]F[/dropcap]ive Nights at Freddy’s is an indie survival horror game developed by Scott Cawthon and was released in 2014. The game is based on the fictional pizza place called Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The player must act as a security guard at night, and must defend themselves from the murderous robot animal characters by tracking their movement by using security cameras.
The film adaptation of the horror game will be produced by Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment as well as Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Productions.
“We’re looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie,” said Grahame-Smith.
“The story really lends itself to being a movie, and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to,” said creator, Scott Cawthon.
Many people think that the movie will have the same story as the game, but with endless theories floating around the internet about what the movie’s story might be, the only thing we can do is wait and see. The FNAF’s series has a large following in the gaming world and YouTube so there must be some kind of demand for this movie.
No release date has been set as of yet and there is little else known about the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, stay posted.
