Corey Taylor will be joining Doctor Who for a role that will feature his monstrous scream!
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]ccording to BBC, Corey Taylor will be joining Doctor Who, using his monstrous scream, to portray the alien warlord called The Fisher King.
“We needed an awesome roar for the Fisher King,” Doctor Who producer Derek Ritchie told the British news network. “We asked Corey if he might like to do the honors. He was completely up for it. … He has one of the most well-known screams in the history of music. We now have the most incredible roar for our incredible monster! He now sounds as terrifying as he looks!”
In January, the band took time to visit the Doctor Who set in Cardiff, Wales. No one knows when Taylor was first contacted about the role, but he did tweet that he would be doing this for a while. “You have no idea how hard it’s been to keep this awesome secret,” he wrote.
Taylor will make his debut as the Fisher King on October 10th in the episode called “Before the Flood.” The episode is the second part of a two-part episode that will begin with the episode called “Under the Lake” on October 3rd. BBC reports that the Fisher King will be portrayed by the U.K.’s tallest man, Neil Fingleton, and voiced by Peter Serafinowicz.
