We are so close to Fus-Ro-Dah-ing trolls off mountainsides, but yet so far.
[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]kyrim is, and this shouldn’t be that big of a surprise for all of you, the third-most requested game for Xbox One backwards compatibility. When you take into account just how many games there are for the Xbox 360, there are a grand total of 1,162 games total in-case you were wondering, that is fairly impressive.
“The first thing we did was port Skyrim to Xbox One,” game director Todd Howard told Game Informer. “Don’t get your hopes up yet.”
Yup, you read that right. It appears that Bethesda just ported Skyrim over to the Xbox One as an exercise for their employees due to the upcoming release of their next highly anticipated game Fallout 4. Now I’m not a successful business owner, but I’m pretty certain that Bethesda could make a lot of money off of Skyrim if they made it available for backwards compatibility. I would even go so far as to say that some hardcore fans might even buy an Xbox One this Black Friday just to play it.
For now, all we can do is hope despite the fact that Todd told us not to.
