Last month, Dwayne Johnson posted to Instagram the confirmation and release date of Black Adam, the villain that many associated with Shazam! (DC’s Captain Marvel) as his greatest nemesis. And while Black Adam was not featured in the first Shazam!, he may appear in the recently announced sequel.
Over the weekend, Wonder Woman 1984 got a pretty impressive trailer at CCXP that has many fans buzzing. However, Warner Bros took this time as an opportunity to confirm Shazam! 2 with Zachary Levi set to return.
Production is set to begin in 2020, with no confirmed release date and while Black Adam is getting his own origin film in 2021, we suspect that he will appear in Shazam! 2 likely as the primary villain. This would make sense if Black Adam releases first, which it seems like it will.
