Rockstar has all but confirmed a new Red Dead Redemption game thanks to their cryptic images.
[dropcap size=small]L[/dropcap]ast night Rockstar Games, the company behind the iconic Grand Theft Auto series and Red Dead Redemption, tweeted a blood red photo with the company’s logo in the center of it. The tweeted photo all but confirmed that a new Red Dead Redemption was on the way and you can be certain that future updates on the mystery project will come to light over the next few days.
Over the past few years, Red Dead Redemption has grown in popularity and is more than likely more popular now than it was when it was first released. With that said, many fans believe the upcoming game to be a sequel to Red Dead Redemption but that seems to be unlikely given that the original game ended with all questions answered.
The photo above was tweeted by Rockstar Games earlier this morning depicting seven unidentifiable figures with a rising or setting sun behind a mountain range. Many fans believe it could be a reference to The Magnificent Seven and Red Dead Redemption surely has drawn its inspiration from several popular wild Western films of the past. However, this could open up copyright issues which Rockstar Games surely could do without.
As mentioned before, the possibility that the next Red Dead Redemption game is a sequel is unlikely and one fan theory that seems to fit is that the next game could be a prequel involving the outlaw John Marston. Regardless of what Rockstar Games decides to do, you can be certain that the next Red Dead Redemption game will be phenomenal.
