‘The long night is coming, and the dead come with it.’
[dropcap size=small]H[/dropcap]BO recently released some decidedly spooky character promo posters for the upcoming season 6 of Game of Thrones, and in the typical GoT fashion, they only serve to deepen the mystery surrounding the new series.
The pictures were posted on the official Game of Thrones twitter account (via TVLine), along with character quotes, and show both living and deceased characters mounted in the Hall of Faces.
Seeing those we’ve lost in the series mixed up with those who still yet live (as far as we know), is such a cruel way to tease us.
Send a raven.

The posters serve to mess with us, and say ‘hey look, your favourite living character may end up in the Hall of Faces with the dead too.’ But let’s be honest, given Game of Thrones history, it could mean anything.
One face in particular gave us pause. Most of us still haven’t recovered from infamous Red Wedding in season 3.
The departure of Robb Stark in such a spectacular fashion cut us as deeply as he himself was cut. Ouch. Sorry to remind you of that. The below poster brings back painful memories.
Check out some of the other characters below, with everyone from Joffrey Baratheon, to Arya Stark:
The posters coincide with the recent teaser trailer, which shows us much the same thing:
Creepy isn’t it?
Just what does it all mean? Who will live and who will die? When it comes to Game of Thrones, we’ll just have to sit on the edges of our seats and wait to find out.
Game of Thrones season 6 is due to air 24 April, 2016.
