[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he Dead Rising Movie – Dead Rising: Watchtower has found its man for Frank West, comedian Rob Riggle (21 Jumpstreet, Let’s be Cops)
It certainly seems fitting, considering both West and Riggle have covered wars, as Riggle is a former Marine. Joining him will be Epic Meal Time hosts Harley Morenstein and Aleks Paunovic playing members of a biker gang.

Dead Rising: Watchtower takes place during a large-scale zombie outbreak. When a mandatory government vaccine fails to stop the infection from spreading, the four leads must evade infection while also pursuing root of the epidemic, with all signs pointing to a government conspiracy. Politics, public paranoia, and media coverage lay an important role in the story’s narrative.
The Dead Rising movie will debut on Crackle and is written and co-produced by Tim Carter, who also produced Mortal Kombat: Legacy and wrote Sleeping Dogs.
Dead Rising is one of my favorite game franchises of all time. While Rob Riggle happens to be one of the funniest comics in Hollywood right now, I just don’t see how it fits. Riggle doesn’t have the physical resemblance, charm, or gravitas of Frank West. I just don’t see this at all.
