Rachel McAdams will Return for ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’

The Deadline is reporting Rachel McAdams will be returning in the upcoming Marvel Studios film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While there is no word on whether or not she’ll have a larger role in the upcoming film compared to her role in Doctor Strange she is expected to be joined by Benedict Wong’s Wong as well as Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Karl Mordo.

In the first Doctor Strange film McAdam’s played the role of Christine Palmer, a past love interest and someone incredibly important to Stephen Strange. Whether or not McAdam’s Christine Palmer will become the Night Nurse from the comics remains to be seen.

Production on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has yet to begin with actor Benedict Cumberbatch currently working on his role as the Sorcerer Supreme in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 film. The second Doctor Strange film will be directed by Sam Raimi with Scarlett Witch actress Elizabeth Olsen to appear as a major character in the film. The film will be released March 25, 2022.
