[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]ctor, comedian, and video game enthusiast Will Ferrell, in partner with DonateGames.org, will be playing video games for charity. The Indiegogo project is attempting to raise a total of $375,000 and in return, Will Ferrell will throw a two-hour livestreamed event. Will Ferrell’s SuperMegaBlastMax Gamer Challenge was launched on September 10th, 2014 and will run until October 12th, 2014.
One lucky donor will win the chance to play, LIVE, with Will. However, you must donate at least $10 to qualify. Non-winners (aka losers) will still receive some pretty cool swag from sponsored partners.
Donor prizes include everything from hoodies, autographed controllers and some kind of weird signature sunscreen. All proceeds will be directed to non-profits Cancer for College and DonateGames.org, funds raised will be used to fund college scholarships for cancer survivors and provide direct financial support to families with children battling cancer.
