Captain Jack is Back!
[dropcap size=small]P[/dropcap]irates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales has finished production but will not be released until 2017. Disney wants to wait until the summer of 2017 to release it. While this may seem like bad news for fans of the series but this date is actually a few months earlier than it had been previously expected. Disney had a press release that said that Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be released on May 26, 2017.
The previous release date, July 7, 2017, is now expected to be filled by the new Spiderman movie. This is the second movie that Disney has recently changed the release date for, Star Wars: Episode VIII was the first. Disney did not say why they are waiting to release the new movie. This is not the first case where a company has waited to release a blockbuster movie, Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman Dawn of Justice also waited a long time between finishing production and their theatrical releases.
The fifth Pirates movie will have Captain Jack (Johnny Depp) facing off against the dangerous Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem). After managing to escape the Devil’s Triangle Salazar is out to kill the rest of pirates. Geoffrey Rush, Kevin McNally, Martin Klebba, and Orlando Bloom, as Will Turner, will be returning to reprise their roles in the beloved series. Brenton Thwaites (The Giver) and Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Runner) will also be joining the series in this movie.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will be released May 26, 2017.
