Jon Bernthal has been cast to play the role of The Punisher for the upcoming season of Daredevil. Below are some photos of him in action.
After a set of successful roles in The Walking Dead, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Fury, everyone was really excited to hear the Jon Bernthal would be joining the cast of Daredevil for season two. Bernthal is confirmed to play the role of Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher. Due to his successful recent roles in movies, he has gained quite the reputation for playing the short-tempered meathead which makes him perfect for the Frank Castle role. Not to mention, the two of them look pretty similar based on the comic book images of Castle.
After having a stellar first season, Daredevil Season 2 is already in the making due to the fan following that it has developed. Images of Bernthal as The Punisher have started to surface on the internet. Bernthal looks like a spitting image of The Punisher where some of the images show him in action beating up his enemies. In these fight scenes, he has the looks and the outfit of the iconic Punisher we all know from the comic book series. Some of them are shown below.
Although Daredevil and The Punisher fight for the same side, it can be expected that the two will experience some conflict between each other. Ideally there will be a pretty cool fight scene between the two, but it can probably be expected that two end up working together at some point. Daredevil Season 1 is available to view on Netflix and we can expect season 2 to be released in 2016.
