Bundle includes original game plus the Whistleblower DLC.
[dropcap size=small]R[/dropcap]ed Barrels has released a bundle for their popular survival horror game Outlast, complete with the Whistleblower DLC. Outlast has been called one of the scariest games since its release in 2013, combining a terrifyingly creepy location with even scarier foes. The gameplay is focused around using stealth and parkour to escape from the game’s nightmare-inducing enemies.
Outlast centers around the Mount Massive Asylum, which is an abandoned home for the mentally ill that has been re-opened by the Murkoff Corporation. After receiving a tip from an anonymous source, the protagonist of the game, journalist Miles Upshur, breaks into the asylum only to find the most terrifying things that come from the horrors of science. The game “aims to show that the most terrifying monsters of all come from the human mind.”
Whistleblower centers around Waylon Parks, who is a software engineer under contract by Murkoff, and the man who emailed Miles in the beginning of Outlast. Whistleblower serves as a prequel to Outlast, showing the events that lead up to it. Additionally, Whistleblower will span past the events of the first game showing the conclusion to the story of the Mount Massive Asylum.
Outlast: Bundle of Terror is developed and published by Red Barrels. The game is rated M and costs $28.99.
