The ambitious, open-galaxy exploration announced at this year’s E3, will also include a ‘traditional multiplayer’ although it may not be available at launch according to Hello Games founder Sean Murray.
This is an exciting announcement as more information about No Man’s Sky pours out. However, Murray was insistent on what the game is really about — vast, open-world space exploration, though even at launch he did admit that the game will have some core MMO mechanics, as players travel to different planets and meet other people in the expansive game universe. The game’s overall goal will be to travel to the center of the universe, though details on what happens when you get there are still unknown.
