TT Games has finally returned to announce LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, proving they weren’t dead — just silently working on the ultimate Bat-brick opus. Revealed at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, the game promises an open-world Gotham and a multiversal love letter to every cinematic version of Batman.
We’re talking Nolan’s trilogy, Pattinson’s eyeliner-heavy brooding, and even the Arkham games — all mashed together in a brick-blasted blender of fan service. Oh, and Bane’s voiced by Matt Berry, because apparently TT Games has ascended to comedy godhood.
Legacy is bringing back the open-world formula, adding Arkham-style combat, difficulty levels (yes, in a LEGO game), and a playable roster that includes Catwoman, Batgirl, Robin, and Jim “Punches Crime with a Mustache” Gordon.
It’s part tribute, part parody, and fully the kind of chaotic, clever nonsense we’ve come to love. Coming in 2026 to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and the fabled Switch 2, this looks less like a sequel and more like the definitive LEGO Batman experience — built from nostalgia, jokes, and dangerous amount of Bat-logo explosive gel.
