[dropcap size=small]K[/dropcap]rysten Ritter is the latest actor to team up with Marvel.
Ritter, best known for her roles on Breaking Bad and the awfully titled Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, will star in the new show A.K.A. Jessica Jones. The new 13-episode series will premiere on Netflix in 2015 following Marvel’s Daredevil.
Jessica Jones was first introduced in comics in the classic comic series Alias, written by Brian Michael Bendis (Uncanny X-Men) and artist Michael Gaydos (Daredevil Redemption). Ritter will play the eponymous character of Jessica Jones. After a short-lived superhero stint ends in tragedy, Jessica Jones seeks to rebuild her life and career as a detective in New York City, working cases involving people with extraordinary abilities.
Melissa Rosenberg, executive producer and showrunner for A.K.A Jessica Jones, had to say about Ritter:

Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb adds:
[dropcap size=small]“[/dropcap]As Jessica Jones, Krysten will bring one of the most beloved new characters of the past decade to life in a way we know will delight her longtime fans and introduce her to many more.”
