[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he final trailer for the upcoming sports thriller Southpaw has just been released online. While previous trailers for the flick have highlighted the film’s premise, this time Eminem’s new song “Kings Never Die,” featuring Gwen Stefani, is at the forefront.

The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal as boxer Billy Hope, who is at the top of his game, living a luxurious lifestyle with a loving wife (Rachel McAdams) and daughter (Oona Laurence). Pressured by his wife to spend more time with his child, Billy makes the decision to retire. Unfortunately, a disaster occurs leaving his life in shambles. Feeling destroyed and worthless, Billy is encouraged by his daughter and trainer (Forest Whitaker) to return to the ring and redeem himself not only as a boxer, but also as a father.
With direction by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day), a new soundtrack from Eminem, as well as a physically and emotionally demanding performance by Gyllenhaal, be sure to keep Southpaw on your radar this summer.
Southpaw comes to theaters on July 24th.
