A $30 Season Pass, and modding kits are coming early next year.
The fall game season has already begun with the critically lauded Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and Super Mario Maker, but the game we’re perhaps most excited for this fall (next to Battlefront) is Fallout 4.
After a (somewhat) unexpected announcement a few months ago, fans have been clamoring to emerge from the vault once again, and while developer Bethesda has done a good job at bringing the hype, they are now gearing up for content that come after the game releases.
Here are Bethesda’s plans for Fallout 4 DLC content:
First, Bethesda will offer a $30 Season Pass for the game that will include every piece of DLC they release for the game.
On their site blog, they admitted that, “Since we’re still hard at work on the game, we don’t know what the actual DLC will be yet, but it will start coming early next year.”
The honesty is appreciated, especially considering the backlash Warner Bros. received when they didn’t reveal the DLC content for the $40 Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass earlier this summer.
Also, previous Bethesda games like Fallout 3 and Skyrim had incredibly robust DLC expansion, so no need to be too concerned.
In the same blog post, Bethesda also revealed that will fully support the modding community with the launch of their new game. A Creation Kit to assist in modding will be available early next year, and these mods will even become able to PS4 and Xbox One owners of the game.
On the topic of modding, Bethesda says,
“The most important thing in our games is the freedom you have to create your own experience, and modding is a big part of that.”
With honest DLC, and a dedicated modding community, Fallout 4 continues to impress before its launch. Hopefully it can live up to our crazy high expectations.
Fallout 4 comes to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 10.
