Get ready for the hype!
[dropcap size=small]D[/dropcap]isney released the official trailer for Beauty and the Beast yesterday. If you have not seen the trailer yet you can watch it below.

This trailer has a lot going for it. The costumes, setting, and special effects all look really well done and seem to reflect the animated movie pretty well. The cast is also pretty stacked with Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Ian McKellen, Ewan McGregor, Emma Thompson, Luke Evans, Josh Gad, Stanley Tucci, and Kevin Kline. There are multiple Oscar winners in that cast so it should be pretty interesting to see how it all comes together.
Fans will be happy to know that many of the original songs from the animated film will also be in the movie along with some new songs. The original composer, Alan Menken, returned to help provide the score and write the music with Tim Rice (Aladdin, The Lion King), another Oscar winner. Bill Condon (Dreamgirls, Mr.Holmes) will direct the film.
Beauty and the Beast is scheduled to be released in theaters on March 17, 2017.
