Looks like another one of Square Enix’s games will be hitting the big screen!
[dropcap size=small]G[/dropcap]aming company Square Enix will have Just Cause, one of their most popular games, created into a movie. 20th Century Fox has already acquired the right to produce the movie with Brad Peyton directing the movie and Jason Momoa cast as the lead role.
The plot for the movie will be the same as the game, features Rico Rodriguez as an operative for The Agency. The specifics of the movie have been kept under wraps, but should feature Rico’s crisis while on a mission.
No other cast members were announced, other than Momoa. A release date has yet to be announced as well.
This isn’t the first Square Enix game being converted to a movie as Tomb Raider will be released in early 2018, starring Alicia Vikander.
Multiple producers will be involved with the movie. Peyton and Jeff Fierson will be producing the movie through ASAP Entertainment, Roy Lee will produce through Vertigo Entertainment, Adrian Askarieh through Prime Universe Films, Eva Cao through Supernova Entertainment, and DNA Co. Ltd will have Mason XU and Fan Dong as producers.
