The flyer visuals and a brand new poster give a whole new look for the live-action adaptation of Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan.

[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he incredibly popular anime, known as Attack on Titan, has garnered an intense fan-base this past year and with good reason. With a post-apocalyptic story line and in-depth character development, it is the most popular anime in Japan and the United States. Because of this, the anime has been adapted into a live-action film. Luckily, some flyer visuals and a poster give a good look at what the film has to offer.
The image above is one of the flyer visuals that were revealed this past April. The flyer visual shows off the main character Eren Yeager, his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman, his best friend and childhood friend Armin Arlert, and several members of the 104th training corps. As you’ll notice, many of the cast members pictured above do not closely resemble the characters in the anime. This is because the director of the film, Shinji Higuchi, decided on casting the actors and actresses that did not look like the main characters, but who could play the characters the best and could take on the character’s personality.
The first part of the live-action film will hit theaters in Japan on August 1st and the second part, titled Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan End of the World, will open in theaters on September 19th. Advanced tickets went on sale on April 25th at the same time when the poster and flyers were released at the theaters. The first thirty thousand people who bought the tickets for both the first part and the second part of the film were also given a set of clear files.

Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan will be released in Japan on August 1st. The second part, Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan End of the World, will be released in Japan on September 19th. There is no available release date for the United States at this time.
