Mojang AB, Minecraft game creator, confirmed that Rob McElhenney will direct Minecraft!
[dropcap size=small]M[/dropcap]inecraft has long been a popular game for PC, Xbox and Playstation. Now, it looks like it’s going to hit the big screen when Mojang AB confirmed that Rob McElhenney will direct the movie. McElhenney is best known for directing the popular TV show, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. McElhenney confirmed this on Twitter.Â
Last year, Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson revealed the company was working with Warner Bros. on a Minecraft film. Deadline reported that the movie would be live-action. There was no information on what the plot would be and since the game is an open-world adventure about the player’s creativity based on what they explore the land and build creative structures and towns.
There’s no telling what the plot could be.Â
