TAKEN 3

Liam Neeson is back again for the supposed final entry in the Taken franchise. Bryan Mills must use his particular set of skills (aka guns) to track down the people that murdered his wife. While on the hunt for revenge, he must also try to evade the police who wrongfully believe him to be the one responsible for his wife’s death. As he attempts to prove his innocence and exact revenge, Mills must also do his best to protect his daughter, the only loved one he has left. Seems like a lot for someone to have on their plate, but for this badass, it’s a welcome challenge.

Taken 3 stars Liam Neeson, Forest Whitaker, Famke Janssen, and Maggie Grace. Written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen. Directed by Olivier Megaton. In theaters January 9.

FOCUS

A group of criminals decide to take on a young female protege. Will Smith plays Nicky, the leader of the group who ultimately becomes romantically involved with their new pupil. Large sums of money and what appears to be a gambling ring get in the mix and the tension starts to rise.

Focus stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Rodrigo Santoro. Written and directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. In theaters February 27.

TOMORROWLAND

Based on the Disney parks themed land of the same name, Tomorrowland follows a former child prodigy named Frank and a curious teen named Casey as they travel to a place somewhere within time and space called, you guessed it, “Tomorrowland”. With this being a Disney film with a sci-fi setting, we can already assume that it’ll be visually stunning, we’ll probably even learn a valuable life lesson, and with a little bit of George Clooney sprinkled on top, how can it go wrong?

Tomorrowland stars George Clooney, Britt Robertson, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn, Hugh Laurie, Tim McGraw, and Keegan-Michael Key. Written by Damon Lindelof, Brad Bird, and Jeff Jensen. Directed by Brad Bird. In theaters May 22.
