CDPR may still be shitting the bed, dealing with the consequences of their disastrous CyberPunk 2077 launch that completely obliterated consumer faith and absolutely destroyed any chance of us ever buying another game from the dishonest developer but we are still looking forward to the next season of The Witcher series on Netflix.

Earlier today, during the online WitcherCon event, hosted by Netflix and CDPR, it was confirmed that Henry Cavill will return as Geralt in the next season of the popular series this December 17th.
According to reports, the second season of The Witcher is not the only thing to be excited about as Netflix has much larger plans in store for the franchise. A six-part miniseries called Blood Origin, a prequel of sorts that stars Michelle Yeoh and Sophia Brown, focuses on the creation of Witchers and just how the world of magic as we know it came to be. Additionally, a spinoff anime film, Nightmare of the Wolf is also planned for later this year.

CDPR may be a household name associated with failure and deception among the gaming community (and likely will continue to be years to come long after the grandchildren of the current development team have grown into adulthood), but Netflix continues to deliver content we love including the first season of The Witcher. Not without missteps, the show’s first season did have some pretty odd pacing and questionable story-telling choices creatively, but we still enjoyed it all the same and can’t wait for more this December, which will probably be at least still several months ahead of CDPR releasing any of their previously announced CP2077 DLC.
