Batman and the TMNT?! It’s a geek’s dream come true!
[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]hen you think of animated films that involve DC Comics the Justice League and Batman are usually the first two that come to mind. Of course, you’re not wrong if they did because Warner Home Videos, a subdivision of Warner Bros., has been responsible for nearly every animated film that features characters from the DC universe. After all, both Batman and the Justice League are the most popular in DC universe so why wouldn’t you make animated films about them? Nonetheless, rumors have surfaced pointing towards a Batman and Ninjas Turtles animated crossover film.
According to We Got This Covered, an anonymous source was given a survey that asked those that were surveyed if they would be interested in seeing an animated film involving someone other than just Batman or the Justice League. After all, there are many other popular characters both inside the DC universe and out of it.
Last year, DC and IDW teamed up to release a comic book crossover involving The Dark Knight and Heroes in a Half-Shall that was very popular among fans. If that crossover was popular among fans why not release a film involving Gotham’s caped crusader and a bunch of pizza-loving turtles?
Last year’s comic book series had the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Batman meeting for the first time and the next comic book series will allegedly be incorporating what happened in last year’s comic along with the events in Batman: The Animated Series and the TMNT cartoon series on Nickelodeon. Whether or not the animated crossover film will follow the comic books remains to be seen but no one can deny that an animated crossover will be exciting for fans.
