More classic Nintendo titles have made their way to the New 3DS!
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap] recent update from Nintendo this month brings us a delightful handful of classic SNES games to the virtual console, which are now available to snap up via the 3DS eShop.
The latest wave of old-school SNES games for the 3DS include Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Metroid, and Zelda: A Link to the Past.
Back in March, Nintendo announced several classic titles would be making their way to the handheld, and these three are the last of the mentioned SNES games to be added – after following other titles such as Super Mario World, and Pilotwings. There’s always the potential that more may head our way in future, however.
Other games to join the eShop along with the SNES additions include Excave III: Tower of Destiny, Langrisser Re:Incarnation -Tensei-, and Super Strike Beach Volleyball.
It’s so great that Nintendo has been offering up some of their classic games on a modern, more accessible platform, and being able to re-live some of their all-time greats is always a pleasure. Many SNES titles are simply timeless, and adding them to the New 3DS is sure to introduce new generations to the joy of the old consoles’ classic games.
You can get your hands on the virtual console SNES games via the eShop for a reasonable $8 (roughly £6) each.
