Sorry Zack Snyder fans, the rumor were too good to be true.
[dropcap size=small]B[/dropcap]ack in July a rumor broke out that director Zack Snyder’s son would be playing Robin in a flashback scene in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Shortly afterwards, Zack Snyder posted a photo to Instagram (which can be seen below) of his son with a caption that said, “Boy wonder?”. Many people saw this action as a direct response from Zack Snyder to the rumor.
Whether or not the photo of Zack Snyder and his son was a response to the rumor hasn’t been proven. For all we know the director was just poking at the fans while he kicked back and watched chaos ensue. Regardless of this possible scenario, Zack Snyder has gone on record during a recent interview with Yahoo! News to deny the rumor that his son would be playing Robin.
“There’s a rumor that my son is [playing] Robin. It’s not true. Now there are all these images of him that people have made where he’s dressed like Robin. It’s fun to hear and see them.”
There you have it, you heard from the director/father himself. However, he never did deny that there would be a flashback of Robin. Could that be true? We’ll have to wait and see.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be in theaters on March 25th, 2016.
